Summer Art Camps at The Little Yellow Building

Our summer camps are designed to teach fundamental art skills in a structured and supportive environment. Each camp focuses on a different skill, helping students build confidence and improve their artistic abilities. Camps are small to allow for individual attention, and all materials are provided.

Summer Camp Schedule

Week 1: Basics of Drawing What You See (4th - 6th Grade)
πŸ“… June 9 - June 13
Students will learn how to break down images into simple shapes, build their sketches step-by-step, and gain confidence in their drawing skills using animation-based references.

Week 2: Basics of Drawing What You See (6th Grade & Up)
πŸ“… June 16 - June 20
This camp expands on drawing fundamentals with more advanced illustrations, shading techniques, and the transition to photo references.

Week 3: Basics of Digital Art (Adobe Fresco) (5th Grade & Up)
πŸ“… June 23 - June 27
An introduction to digital art. Students will learn how to use digital tools, analyze digital works, and create their own original artwork using Adobe Fresco.

Week 4: Basics of Painting with Acrylic (4th - 6th Grade)
πŸ“… July 7 - July 11
Students will learn color mixing, brush techniques, and different ways to use acrylic paint to create their own artwork.

Week 5: Basics of Painting with Acrylic & Art Movements (6th Grade & Up)
πŸ“… July 14 - July 18
Each day, students will study a different art movement, learn how artists from that era approached painting, and apply those techniques to their own work.
