Yellow Hours - Saturdays - 1- 5 pm

Tuition

All Supplies Included

  • Your regular, weekday classes.

    • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3 : 30 – 5PM

    • Class size: 10 students max—every kid gets attention.

    • Tuition: $125 / month, supplies included.

    • Missing a day? Schedule Yellow Hours or use our scheduler to book time with Mr. Derek.

    • Seat deposit: $50, applied to Month 1.

  • Five days, one focused skill, loads of practice.

    • When: Weekly sessions in June & July, 10AM – noon.

    • Each Year: 2 Drawing & Painting Bootcamps, 1 Digital Arts Camp, 1 Wildcard announced in May.

    • Cost: $145 per week, all materials included.

    • Class cap: 10

    • Early drop-off / late pick-up: add $25 for the week.

  • One-on-one time with Mr. Derek to focus on what you choose. Great for portfolio building, artists who want to focus in one particular area, or catching up fast.

    • Availability: Mondays - Sundays, between 9AM - 3pm, Wednesdays - Fridays, 5PM - 7PM

    • Rate: Once a week $150 per month. Twice a week $175 per month. All general supplies included. Specially tools or supplies should be provided by you, or we can supply them for cost.

  • Not looking for the after-school slot? We’ll run a daytime class just for your homeschooler, or your whole crew.

    • Up to 2 students → treated like a private lesson

      • 1 day a week · $150 / month

      • 2 days a week · $175 / month

    • 3 or more students → drops to our regular rate

      • $125 / month per student

    • You pick the weekly daytime that works; we lock it in for the term.

    • Same curriculum and supplies as our after-school classes—just your own pace and group.

    • $50 deposit holds each seat.

    • First child: full tuition $125 / month

quick FAQs

Can my kid try one class first?

Yes, if there is space available, and when the best time would be. It could be a few weeks if the class is deep in a project. Text or call to schedule a Drop-in for a single session. If it clicks, we roll right into classes.

Do they need experience?

Not for Level 1, although we do recommend that they have expressed seeing flaws in their drawings before entering. We meet them where they are and build on that foundation. If you are interested in a higher level with no experience, the fastest way to get caught up is through Summer boot camps or private lessons.

What if we miss a class?

Use the free Yellow Hours or schedule a make-up slot. No one gets left behind.

I started the Open Seats Facebook group because my memory is… let’s say “an adventure.” Traditional waiting lists didn’t work because of small classes and low turnover. By the time I reached out, families had moved on (or ignored the mystery caller from a year and a half ago).
