THE LITTLE YELLOW BUILDING

Peggy Harkins

Crystal Springs, Mississippi
Art has been my life work and my pastime. I have enjoyed trying all mediums and I have a way to show my creativity, feelings and reaction to the things that inspire me. The inspiration for me is a the drive that keeps me using my ability to paint or draw because always once again I enjoy the excitement of visually showing my thoughts about the mood or feeling of the person, time of day, location, atmosphere or a special beauty. Thank you for looking.
I went to a wonderful blues festival here in Crystal Springs, can’t remember the name of the singer, took a lot of photos and my thought was the musicians in Mississippi and how they traveled the state the most economical way to share their music, maybe make a living with their music, much like visual artist, you have a passion and love to go with talent, not that much of a money maker. I love the train from Memphis to New Orleans.

I  don’t know who the musician might be, making his way to another gig, catching a early morning train, maybe he just likes to travel and take his music but to me trains, tracks, stations all have a melancholy mood because so many goodbyes and train travelers do always seem to have a story.
