Big Joe Williams

Joe Lee Williams was born in 1903 near Crawford, Mississippi, where he would spend his final years passing in 1982.

Big Joe came from a Blues performer family, and in his teens, would make his living playing for workers, at events, and in traveling shows.
He became a staple in the St Louis Blues scene before traveling to Chicago and eventually the world.

His signature song, "Baby, please don't go" has been covered dozens of times by artists in all different genres of music, ensuring Big Joe Williams's legacy continues.
